  • How Stripe helps you meet Strong Customer Authentication requirements?

Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) is a new European regulatory requirement to reduce fraud and make online payments more secure.

3D Secure 2—the new version of the authentication protocol rolling out in 2019—will be the main method for authenticating online card payments and meeting the new SCA requirements. This new version introduces a better user experience that will help minimise some of the friction that authentication adds into the checkout flow.

Stripe has been audited by an independent PCI Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) and is certified as a PCI Level 1 Service Provider. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.

Stripe has released a foundational payments API that uses Stripe SCA logic to apply the right exemption and trigger 3D Secure when necessary. EasyPie is built on top of this API and can dynamically apply 3D Secure when required.

If a recurring charge requires SCA, Stripe can email subscribers automatically with a link to complete two-factor authentication via 3D Secure 2.

  • How to configure/integrate PayPal with Stirpe?

EasyPie Checkout supports all currencies that Stripe supports processing payments in 135+ currencies. It accommodates 2-decimal currencies; as well as 0-decimal currencies such as JPY and KRW, and 3-decimal currencies such as BHD and KWD.

EasyPie Checkout allows you to set up a multi-currency checkout experience. To do this, you’ll need to manually configure the currencies and exchange rates within the EasyPie settings. These rates are static, as they are determined and updated by you, rather than being dynamically adjusted.

During the installation process, we will set up the currencies and rates in EasyPie according to your preferences. You will also have the flexibility to modify these currencies and rates in the EasyPie settings anytime in the future.

To enable multi-currency support in your store and ensure that customers are redirected to EasyPie Checkout in their selected currency, you’ll need to install a free currency plugin that supports fixed (manual) exchange rates. This setup allows customers to see consistent currency and exchange rates both in your store and at EasyPie Checkout. Make sure the plugin’s settings match the fixed (manual) exchange rates configured in EasyPie Checkout, and include a currency selector (such as a dropdown list) in your store. One example of a compatible plugin is Webrex ‑ Currency Converter.

Any updates you make to the currencies and rates will not affect previously created subscriptions.

  • Is there a Stripe currency conversion fee?

No, since currency conversion is done at a fixed rate in EasyPie Checkout and the payment is collected directly with the relevant currency, Stripe does not perform currency conversion for the payment to be collected from the customer and you do not pay any additional commission for this.

  • Is it possible to get paid out in multi-currency on Stripe?

Stripe automatically converts all incoming funds into the default currency of your home country. With multi-currency settlement, you can configure your account to accrue balances and get paid out in additional currencies.

Please visit Stripe's website for information.
